Birthday Gift - Card Set

Hi there - and thanks for stopping by!

Here is a set of cards I made recently for my Mum's birthday. I was inspired by a set I saw on the Cosmo Cricket facebook fan site and I made the cover to hold them in too!

I made 6 cards using 4x4 inch kraft cards as a base

Just by using a couple of elements and chipboard from the collection, these cards came together really quickly

Front cover using Crate Paper die-cut elements

Little storage pockets for the cards

This was a really fun and quick project and my Mum loved it!

"Is it Time for a Cocktail?" Box

I created this box of cocktail recipes as part of my submission to join the Artfull Crafts Design Team earlier this year.

I have used the Boys Zone Tags and tag box from Kaisercraft and  the papers and embellishments are from the Crate Paper Brook Collection - one of my all-time favourites. I also used heaps of Rhinestones and some miscellaneous rubons too.

I was really happy with how this turned out!

I wanted to keep the box very simple to highlight
the wonderful colours of the papers
The tags come flatpacked and joined together, so some cutting and sanding is required before you start to paint

I printed some of the recipes onto printed paper, some onto acetate and some onto plain paper which I stamped, embossed, applied rubons etc

This was such a fun project - not to mention it is full of wonderful Cocktail recipes!

Pool Party Paraphernalia!

I created these specifically for my Artfull Crafts Design Team application. They were heaps of fun to do using one of my other all time favourite lines - Cosmo Cricket's "Snorkel" which I think has now been discontinued :-(  If anyone has any ribbon or rubons they can sell me I would be soooooo happy!

Party Invitation - Waterfall Card

I took a class at SENZ instructed by the ladies from Kaisercraft and one of the cards they taught was this one. It looks complicated but when broken down into steps it is quite simple. When you pull down on the bottom all the pieces flip over like a waterfall. I simply placed all the info you would normally find on an invitation onto the flaps of the card, and then mounted the whole piece onto double thickness cardstock.
Gently pull on the tag to see cards flip over from the top

I printed the invite information onto clear labels and
stuck them over the card pieces

I used ribbon and chipboard pieces from the
Snorkel collection to add dimension

Party Favour

In the US there are known as Sour Cream containers! They are really simple to make but you have to make sure you use a VERY permanent adhesive. You can fill them with sweeties or any little gift for your mini party guests!

Crimping the edges gives a lovely looking finish
and the string adds to the nautical feel

Placecard / Takeaway Windmill

I thought this would be a fun idea that the kids could take home with them

Standing the windmills in sand is an easy way to stand them up

Jellybean Bag

Cello bags, jellybeans and a few die cuts from my cuttlebug

Kids love some treats to take home and this is a really cheap option!

Thank-You Bookmark

For this I embossed the base with the cuttlebug. I also used the cuttle bug to cut the circle and then glue dots to hold a piece of patterned paper in the "window"

I used the ribbon from the Snorkel collection between the
front and back to add some colour to the bookmarks
LOVE this patterned paper!

Family Photo Display

This was a really quick and fun project for Mothers Day.  The Kaisercraft Photo Display is a fantastic easy project to try for the novice BTP crafter. Just sand down and paint the edges and start  gluing paper to the flat sides!

I have used the Earth Love Collection from Cosmo Cricket.

This was one of my first scrapbooking projects - but it's still one of my faves!!

Lowri :-)

Father's Day Goodies

I decided to make little Father's Day gifts this year - Dads are so often neglected on the gift front and I wanted something personal and non-feminine. I created these little photo wallets and matching cards.  Most of the products are from Kaisercrafts' Up, Up and Away Collection

Photo Wallets

These fit perfectly in Granddad's wallet!

This opens up to reveal 3 outer pages

And inner flaps to fold out and decorate as you choose..

Father's Day Cards

I made these 3D Easel Cards using a Chipboard piece instead of brads to hold the card up and a combination of the printed paper, rub-ons and chipboard to get a 3-D balloon effect.

I love this paper range - it has great depth and detail

The card stand up by itself making it a great keepsake!

These balloons are so much fun and give a vintage feel while still looking fresh

Baby Girl Book

Another Kaisercraft BTP Project using the La Di Da Collection and Scallop Tag Album

I used 4 layers of paint to get a solid matt paint coverage

This was a really quick album to do as I decided not to glue paper to the whole page - but just used paint to fill in the scallop ends of the book.

This was a gift, and the first blank album I have done. I wanted something cute – but not too girly pink!

Hippy Girl Design Team Project

My first Design Team assignment!  I blogged about this on the Artfull Crafts Blog but here are some photos to share with you.

Large Desk Organiser
(a Kaisercraft BTP Project)

This project was completed using Kaisercrafts Hippy Girl Collection

Lip Balm Cards
These are easily adapted to hold any "tube" shape - think Candies, Tums..

Mini Album
I LOVE this little mini - made from 1 sheet of 12x12 paper

Would love to know what you think!
