Cosmo Cricket Playing Cards

Hi Everyone

Day 2 of my Cosmo Cricket week. How about bringing out your inner hustler with these playing cards using the digital "Wanted" Collection.

 

I created a template using various elements from the collection and then just printed onto A4 photo paper, cut out - and attached to my $2 shop playing cards. Easy! 

You could easily make a few of these for an evening. Why not do some custom cards for everyone the next time you host a poker/games night?

I also used the digital Snorkel Collection for the background for this set of playing cards I created for Valentines day this year.

The weathered wood graphics were perfect for the look I wanted to create. You can see the complete post and more pictures here..

Altered Money Tin and Cosmo Cricket Week!

Hi Everyone

For the next few days I am going to be sharing a few projects I have made using the Cosmo Cricket Digital Collections. Some projects are all digital, some are "hybrid" and NONE are layouts!!

"Shoe Fund" Money Box

As a base for the tin (which I picked up at the $2 shop), I glued a base layer of Upcycle Re-Make 12x12 paper all around and then added a decorative strip cut from Upcycle Re-Design paper to add interest at the top. I added a sticker from the Girl Friday sticker sheet at the top and bottom and used the Girl Friday Digital Collection to create my "Shoe Fund" banner around the middle. 

I have just printed this strip onto plain cardstock - so can see how high quality the graphics are and how close the colours match to the physical collection products when printed out.

"Early Bird" Coffee Mug

I have always like the Early Bird Collection and now it is available on-line I can use it for heaps of things - such as this coffee mug!

I removed the sheet of paper that was inside, measured it as a base and then created my digital insert using various elements from the Early Bird collection.

I am no graphic designer (as you can probably tell) - and I have done this and all the projects this week - in Powerpoint :-0

Party Animals Banner & SENZ Info

Hi Everyone - a couple of projects to share today.  This latest "Party Animals" Collection from Kaisercraft is nothing short of gorgeous! I love working with bright and bold colours and with my kids still being in that animal-crazy phase - there were heaps of possibilities for me to create something just for them.

These Kaisercraft Pennants were also released this month and it is the perfect project to start with if you are new to Kasiercraft BTP projects as they are so simple to paint and cover with paper.

These are really tough to photograph while hanging up!

I have to say that I got the inspiration for decorating my banners from the fabulous Cassie Box. She has some amazing banners on her blog - check them out!!

I have also made these 3 frames for my son's new work desk - the photos inside are not great - but he picked them which makes them special!

To decorate I have used the Party Animals rubons, sticker sheet and chipboard pieces which are all so much FUN!!

SENZ

If you are in New Zealand - are you coming to SENZ? 

SENZ is New Zealand's largest Scrapbooking Expo and this year it is being held in Auckland Friday June 24th - Sunday 26th.

Artfull Crafts will have a HUGE shop (remember we won Best Exhibitor last year) and even more excitingly Melissa Kennedy and Al Hannah from Kaisercraft will be teaching many of our classes.
They were here last year teaching our classes in Christchurch and they were very popular!

"Leaf" Mini Album w/ Basic Grey (Origins) & Kaisercraft..

Hi Everyone - another BTP project to share today - this time a really simple album I made for a special lady who has been working with our family for some time.  With my eldest son going to school, I wanted to be able to give her a little keepsake with pictures of him from the time she has been taking care of him.

I have used Basic Grey's Origins Collection as the basis for the book - which is an MDF Kaisercraft Leaf Album.  I have kept the decoration simple to emphasise the photographs.

 Each page has photographs from one particular year

The number of pieces in each collection by Basic Grey make coordinating matching elements and embellishments a breeze!  The mini letters are from Kaisercraft.

At Christmas time I also made her a blank album in the same collection (you can see heaps more pics at my post here.)  She is a very keen gardener, so these bright colors are a prefect match - especially as we are heading into winter here in New Zealand!

Bo Bunny Mini Album - Quick and Easy!

Hi Everyone - I have a  really quick and simple idea for a mini album to share today. Quick and simple as most of the hard work is done for you!

I have never used Bo Bunny products before but when I saw this gorgeous Ad-Lib Collection,  I thought it would be great for a fun mini album featuring the kids.

Not only that - but they have these amazing jigsaw pieces, already cut and covered with paper to use as the perfect base!.

I have used a selection of black and white photos as I really wanted the colours of the papers and embellishments to stand out.

There is a HUGE selection of sentiments on the various sticker sheets available making it really easy for the pages to come together.

The puzzle shaped pieces add heaps of interest and spots for stickers to add extra colour.

This is my favourite photo! (They were all taken on a walk around our vineyard on Good Friday)

 

This would be a great projects to do with your kids. It would only take a couple of ideas to put together and  would make a perfect homemade grandparent gift.

Hope you have enjoyed this. I will certainly be on the look out for some more Bo Bunny products as these were lovely to work with and the colours are gorgeous!

Exciting Kaisercraft News & Upcycle Mini Album (Cosmo Cricket)

Hi Everyone

Some exciting news this week - I am one of the 25 Finalists chosen for the Kaisercraft Design Team. There are some very talented ladies on the list of finalists so here's hoping I can come up with something amazing for the final round!

I cannot tell you anything about the next stage of the process unfortunately - but let's just say it will be a bit of a challenge for me! 

I also want to say a HUGE THANK-YOU to everyone who left a comment on my application post. I am in the process of responding to you all and taking a look at your great blogs too :-)

I made this mini album last week using the fabulous Upcycle Collection from Cosmo Cricket.  It is an accordion style album which folds up into this gorgeous 4"x4" size square

My idea was that this would be a fabulous memento for a young girl - maybe she could have a sleepover for her birthday and get all her friends to write in it as a keepsake...

There is plenty of space for writing those special memories

The album is not that hard to make - I found a template here and actually used 5 squares of paper to create this version.

The colors and designs in this collection are fun, bright, sophisticated, retro and any other number of fabulous adjectives I could use!! 

As you can see I am also still experimenting with my photography on a white background! Not sure I have perfected it yet and it always looks so, well - plain - but I am sure I will crack it soon
