Snow Day Card Tutorial (Pink Paislee)

Hi Everyone

The Giveaway previously listed here is now closed.
You can see a summary here and winners will be announced on December 9, 2012

Snow Day Card

I couldn’t get this fabulous "Snow Day" collection from Pink Paislee in New Zealand last year and it was only recently I was able to buy some of the embellishment pieces.

I still had no matching paper, however I downloaded the digital paper pack and printed some papers for the base.  I painted the Snow Day veneer piece white and then embossed with a white woodgrain on top for a little extra definition. Additional pieces from the ephemera pack work perfectly to create a super-quick and simple card.

To create the base - simple follow this diagram below, The card will easily fold flat for mailing too.

  4. Hi Lowri, I've helped ya out!!! I have pinned it, I have shared it on my FB and I have made a blog entry for ya!

Your card is ADORABLE!!!! and thank you so much for the tutorial, because I LOVE this type of card! I've tried to make it and it never came out right because I didn't know the proper measurment, and I didn't know what the name of the type of card is (such as sidestep etc).
But your tut is really clear and I'll definitely be trying to make a card like this again now!

Can't wait to see what the rest of the countdown brings!

  27. Oh boy! I love the card and the 52 Ways book. That book would be great as an anniversary gift for my husband. If I don't win it, I will have to make one for him myself. I'm pretty lazy, so I really hope I win it.

  33. I pinned it since that is the only way I can share. I will print out the post and share with the gals here at work. I loved when you originally made this. I made something similar, just not 52 and not using a deck of cards. I did 10 things as a small album for my husband to carry with him.

  34. I sent this to my friend who is getting married in Feb. I thought it would be a great thing to make and set out on their table for others to see the ways she loves him. Great idea. Thank you so much.

  36. I told the ladies who attended Stampin' Night this evening. They said they would check out the pages also. I just found out about the contest so I'm trying to catch up.

  37. I might be late, but I shared on my FB today telling everyone there is still time to enter all the days of this contest. I also just called two of my paper crafting partners in crime (as our husbands like to call us because we are always telling each other about great sales, products etc!) and shared.
