Folded Photo Wallet – Crate Paper ‘Restoration’

Hi there – This week on the Artfull Crafts Blog the theme is Stocking Stuffers and Scraps. I have heaps of bits and pieces to post – but will restrict to one day at a time!

I made this photo wallet for my MIL this week as she spent some unexpected time in hospital. It’s so simple and is slim-line enough to fit easily into a bag, purse or wallet. It measures 10cm x 7cm and has a magnetic snap closure (from Basic Grey).

It almost looks like a little purse!

I have used one of my favourite ranges from the last year (well, from all time really) Restoration from Crate Paper.

The colours in this range are gorgeous. I have seen lots of heavily distressed projects using this range, but that’s not really my style, so I wanted to show it can be used for a “clean lines” project too.

Needed to add the paper strip to hide the second magnet
I needed for strength!

These colours are just so stunning. Sepia photos were a great match!

The album opens up to reveal fold out flaps containing more photos. It’s amazing how slim the wallet stays when folded, despite all the layers..

Lots of grandchildren pics to cheer up Nonnie!
A small album like this is a great way to showcase lots of photos and would make a perfect gift for anyone who loves to keep piccies close at hand…

Have used some of the wonderful accents and stickers in the Restoration line.
This is as close as I get to journaling!!

Make sure to keep an eye on the Artfull Crafts Blog where every week we are giving away a great prize for submitting your version of the weeks theme.

Stay tuned for some more great stocking stuffers ideas. Coming later in the week – make a great Christmas CD with all your fave songs, an awesome magnet set and HEAPS of kids party favour ideas….

Lowri, your paper photo wallet is gorgeous, and such a cute idea. I'm not an "aged and distressed" type of gal either…clean lines are so nice and crisp!

It's just fab. Especially the way it folds out in a zig-zag layout and allows for journalling on the back. Loving how you use products and collections !
