Pink Paislee Envelope Mini Album

Hi Everyone

I am Guest Designing for Pink Paislee this month and will be sharing my projects this week.

Envelope Mini Album
I created this album from scratch and it’s a really fun project to put together.

First create your mini office-tie envelopes. I used my Cuttlebug and this Pocket Envelope Die from Tim Holtz but if you have a Cameo you could use this album from Lori Whitlock as a template OR download this free template from minieco.co.uk and cut around the envelopes by hand. I have done all three in the past and they probably all take the same amount of time!

Create some office-tie buttons with a circle punch and mini brads, and use some super sticky tape to fasten the envelopes together. Create an album cover from a double layer of paper glued together, making sure it is long enough to wrap around the front. I used the corner of a Spellbinders die to create the decorative edge. A spool button from the London Market Collection covers an eyelet I inserted to thread some twine through for a fastening.

Bind your book using rings or a craft binder and start decorating! I used the label stickers on every envelope and created some simple tags with photos of my kids to go inside each envelope – the photo tabs make the perfect accent for the tags.

I love how the papers in this collection have such varied design elements that the finished album looks really decorative – even though it is a very simple concept and construction. 
I have three more projects to come this week including a spooky banner for Halloween tomorrow!

Sadly I don't live in NZ but my in-laws do!! Does that count?? They have a beautiful home in Nelson and my brother-in-law used to live in Tahunanui. I was just starting scrapping and they took me to the Scrap Box (pretty sure that was the name!) I know there is a thriving community of scrappers there!

    Pink Paislee Envelope Mini Album

    Hi Everyone

    I am Guest Designing for Pink Paislee this month and will be sharing my projects this week.
    Please note that the Giveaway previously detailed here has now CLOSED. Winners can be seen here.

    Envelope Mini Album
    I created this album from scratch and it’s a really fun project to put together.

    First create your mini office-tie envelopes. I used my Cuttlebug and this Pocket Envelope Die from Tim Holtz but if you have a Cameo you could use this album from Lori Whitlock as a template OR download this free template from minieco.co.uk and cut around the envelopes by hand. I have done all three in the past and they probably all take the same amount of time!

    Create some office-tie buttons with a circle punch and mini brads, and use some super sticky tape to fasten the envelopes together. Create an album cover from a double layer of paper glued together, making sure it is long enough to wrap around the front. I used the corner of a Spellbinders die to create the decorative edge. A spool button from the London Market Collection covers an eyelet I inserted to thread some twine through for a fastening.

    Bind your book using rings or a craft binder and start decorating! I used the label stickers on every envelope and created some simple tags with photos of my kids to go inside each envelope – the photo tabs make the perfect accent for the tags.

    I love how the papers in this collection have such varied design elements that the finished album looks really decorative – even though it is a very simple concept and construction. 
    I have three more projects to come this week including a spooky banner for Halloween tomorrow!

    Love the album! I'm not one for mini albums, but yours is so much fun (the pockets are wonderful) I might need to give it a shot!
    I would love the regular giveaway – so many great products in there and am so thankful that you are generous and ship overseas (I can't imagine what it costs.)
