Snow Day Card Tutorial (Pink Paislee)

Hi Everyone The Giveaway previously listed here is now closed. You can see a summary here and winners will be announced on December 9, 2012 Snow Day Card   I couldn’t get this fabulous “Snow Day” collection from Pink Paislee in New Zealand last year and it was only recently I was able to buy some of the embellishment pieces.   I still had no matching paper, however I downloaded the digital paper pack and printed some papers for the base.  I painted the Snow Day veneer piece white and then embossed with a white woodgrain on top for a little extra definition. Additional pieces from the ephemera pack work perfectly to create a super-quick and simple card.  To create the base – simple follow this diagram below, The card will easily fold flat for mailing too.   Post a comment with any questions Lowri 🙂 I am linking up this post to these websites here.

Advent Treats Bowl (My Mind’s Eye)

Hi Everyone – A quick post today to show you a project I created for the 100 Days of Christmas Wonderful at Design Dazzle. It incorporates a couple of ideas I have used several times before – just a new little twist, and I have detailed tutorials showing how to create both the bowl and treat favors. Advent Bowl This Advent Bowl is created using a simple Paper Machie technique – and you can see a full tutorial here if you want to make your own. You can of course use any bowl to hold these paper containers, and they are absolutely one of my favorite things to make. I have made 24 and the kids will open one each day and see what treat or activity is inside. Once you know this technique, you can use them for party favors or just as unique packing for little gifts. You can  make them any size and below you can see my full tutorial showing how to create them. All of the papers and embellishments I have used for this project are from the gorgeous “All is Bright” Collection from MME. This festive collection is fun, bright and modern with a […]
