Gorgeous Girl Frame
This frame was created for workshop I taught at Artfull Crafts earlier this year. I demonstrated a simple paint technique (see below) which can be used on any kind of wood surface. All supplies are from the Kasiercraft Save the Date Collection.
Paint Technique
- I have used a simple paint technique that will work on any wooden base and with any combination of colors. I generally use 2 accent colors with white or cream on top. In this case I used green and mustard as my accent colors with a white coat on top.
- Apply your darkest accent color to the frame. It does not have to cover the frame completely, but wipe any paint that spills over the frame edge with a baby wipe.
- When dry – apply your second accent color and let dry. Finally, apply your top color (white or cream) all over the frame – again, wiping any smudges over the edges.
- When COMPLETELY dry – take a small piece of rough grit sandpaper and sand over the top. Go lightly at first until you reach your desired level of distressing.
You can also use Washi Tape to cover the frame too!

Always the first commenter hahah but hey I'm like a stalker here for every day of your Christmas Countdown.
Is hard to choose one favorite project because you do wonderful things Lowri. But if I have to choose I choose the treat boxes of the Stamped Cookie Tutorial post.
I've been loving all the projects you've been showing. I'm a big Christmas fan, so I'm going to say my favorite in the advent calendars you showed in November. I have an svg file that would go perfectly in the center of either of your advent calendars.
Hard to pick just one project….but I think the paper strawberries from April are just darling and plan to make some with my girls over the holiday break for our table…with holiday paper…
I would have to agree the advent calendar is a favourite but all your projects are just wonderful.
Beautiful frame!
I really loved the Mrs. Rudolph.
Well, my favorite project EVER is…'52 REASONS I LOVE YOU CARDS'! Love, love , love it!

Not sure what my favourite project was. I am pretty new to PaperVine so I am sure I missed all sorts of yumminess. Over the holiday break I will have to go back and check everything out!! 🙂
Such a cute project! I think my favorite project this year that I've seen on your blog would have to be the advent calendar. I came across you rather recently so I'm sure there are many more fabulous projects on here and I follow you on Pinterest so I'll be checking them out over there as well.
I'm pretty new so I haven't really seen all your projects…But from what I have seen, I'm loving 52 ways to love you…
My current favorite always seems to be the project I've seen last – I get inspired to get to work when I look at your work. So in that vein – I am going with the Grogeous Girl Frame which is really adorable!

A recent easel card that was also a butterfly – loved that… the Valentine heart shaped mini… oh, and the Kaisercraft drawers. No idea when you made that but what a beaut!!
