Amazing projects around the year, I'm sure you are going to surprise us with all the 2013 projetcs. My prediction of the hotest trend for 2013 maybe heagons… because I saw the sneak peeks of the Hero arts catalog for CHA winter and there are some amazing hexagons stamps.

  3. Reply CraftyRia December 6, 2012 at 5:08 PM

Wow! What super duper great projects! I can't wait to make more of them. I predict that paper-piecing will come back strong in 2013, but using our electronic cutters instead of scissors.

I think the hottest scrapbooking trend can be badges and gems, I'm not sure ^_^

  11. Reply PamSpradlin December 6, 2012 at 6:10 PM

I think one of the trends will be more use of the Washi Tape that is out there. There are so many ways to use it and Pinterest will mostly keep our interest in it for scrapbooking. Another trend that I think I am seeing is the use of a pale turquoise in most of the lines. In the last month I have also seen 2 new paper companies that I haven't seen around before. So therefore I hope the prediction that scrapbooking will be taking an uphill swing will come true.

  12. Reply KellyG December 6, 2012 at 6:18 PM

Some of my favorite posts were your favorite too! Lots of great ideas! I think washi tape is going to continue to be hot in 2013!

  13. Reply Barbara December 6, 2012 at 6:21 PM

Love the projects and have done a few myself thats to the great tutorials! Prediction for 2013 is anyone's guess, but I hope to see more background stamping on layouts, brighter color combinations, and Washi Tape, cause I LOVE my Washi!!

Ooh…hard to predict. I think stitching will continue to be strong, lots of clean designs and small patterns? Maybe that's just what I want. Hmmm.

Wow – hard to guess – but I think wood veneer is going to continue to be hot and project life is going to be even more popular. And vellum will continue its comeback.

  18. Reply Letty S December 6, 2012 at 6:53 PM

I like all your projects! About the prediction for 2013 I think that washi tape will keep being strong as well as the Project Life stuff! Thanks for the chance to win and Happy Holidays!!

  19. Reply Sheila December 6, 2012 at 7:00 PM

One thing I've started seeing on more blogs lately is embroidering with yarn on paper – I can see that making it's way into scrapbooking more. Or maybe I just follow too many knitting/yarn blogs…

  20. Reply cardgirl December 6, 2012 at 7:03 PM

I want to learn all these projects, will put time aside to look at each & every one. Predictions are hard but more 'hand made' look like stitching, loads of shapes (hexagonal etc) with masks & embossing folders, backgrounds with more use of different mediums & much more.. πŸ™‚

  21. Reply Emily December 6, 2012 at 7:07 PM

Let's see…I'm going to say the neon trend will continue to grow, even though I'm not that big a fan of it.

  22. Reply Torrie December 6, 2012 at 7:10 PM

I think that Neon will hit scrapping like it hit fashion and color blocking-kepping it all simple, with clean lines.

  23. Reply Gregsgirl's crafty corner December 6, 2012 at 7:11 PM

so inspiring, thank you for all of your wonderful ideas! I think beads and glitter might start to take off more!!

  24. Reply Vicki December 6, 2012 at 7:24 PM

I think the Project Life concept is going to continue to grow with a lot more companies doing their own versions of it. πŸ™‚

  25. Reply Carmen Nuland December 6, 2012 at 7:40 PM

I agree with some of the other comments – I've been seeing glitter trending lately. I also think the distressed, shabby look is becoming very popular. (Here's hoping the 2012 neon trend ends soon – ugh)

  26. Reply Carrie December 6, 2012 at 7:47 PM

I don't know what the hottest scrapbooking trend will be because I am so far behind the times! Hopefully it's simplicity!

  27. Reply McStamper December 6, 2012 at 7:50 PM

Love all the projects. Couldn't even begin to imagine what will be coming next – but I know it will be good!!

  28. Reply Michele Duffy December 6, 2012 at 7:53 PM

I also think Project Life is going to continue to grow, and will be the hottest trend.

  29. Reply scrappymo! December 6, 2012 at 7:53 PM

  30. Reply Tracey December 6, 2012 at 7:55 PM

Thanks for sharing the links to these amazing projects! I look forward to spending some time checking them all out!!

I wish I could make a prediction on the next trend but I am so not good at that stuff. I am terribly about keeping up with trends. I just go with what I like – trendy or not.

  31. Reply lisa808 December 6, 2012 at 8:19 PM

I think mason jars will continue to be hot next year.

I'm horrible at predictions… I'm going with hexagons, and brighter colors??

  34. Reply Etcetorize December 6, 2012 at 9:07 PM

I haven't got a clue! I'm more of a follower than a trendsetter…so I guess I'll just go with the first few comments and say glitter~

  35. Reply Memories by Manda December 6, 2012 at 11:03 PM

I think the hottest trend will be the products you hinted at. Washi is always good πŸ™‚

  36. Reply June December 7, 2012 at 12:00 AM

I have no idea about the next trend, but I think it will have something to do w/different shapes…The hexagons went over big, so I'm thinking in that general direction…

  37. Reply Mary Mac December 7, 2012 at 12:01 AM

You've inspired me to give the paper beads another try after having made them with my daughter years and years ago! Love to recycle paper in all forms! As for hottest trends, I am seeing a real move toward simplicity in both card making and scrapbooking. I think that the Project life format will continue to be big and that embellishments will be bold and simple..with pops of color

  44. Reply Susan December 7, 2012 at 12:32 AM

I love any project using paper!! Thanks for the tutorials. They really help and inspire me. I predict that bright colors and lots of flowers will be part of the trends for 2013.

  45. Reply Teryl December 7, 2012 at 12:35 AM

Love the recap, so much inspiration !! I am thinking more of the PL format with the EP launch of Photo Freedom, going to see more simple designs to get the memories captured for everyone… more badges… maybe some gel type products like the new geleez craze for kids???

  46. Reply sharon g December 7, 2012 at 12:46 AM

I'm thinking that homemade twine (twisting different colors of embroidery floss together will be hot. Maybe?

  47. Reply SHartl December 7, 2012 at 1:10 AM

Oh, those wedding place cards are SO fabulous!! Love the sweet little paper flowers! As for the newest trend, I'm not sure but I am thinking that handmade flowers (maybe made of fabric?) might be big for Spring.

  48. Reply Angel December 7, 2012 at 1:17 AM

  54. Reply Beatrice Lawson December 7, 2012 at 3:02 AM

  56. Reply gypsylcm December 7, 2012 at 4:34 AM

The increased use of divided page sleeves (like Project Life pages) will continue

  57. Reply marylouh December 7, 2012 at 5:01 AM

Scrapbooks are becoming more finished. Pages are already divided. A lot of embellishing seems to be done already. That would be a benefit for me. I'm not much of a scrapbooker. I'd rather make greeting cards.

  62. Reply Sandy Lewis December 7, 2012 at 8:29 AM

Wow! This would be an awesome birthday gift, as today is my birthday! I think the trends might include chalk and eyelets, with wider Washi tape.

  63. Reply cvanholstein December 7, 2012 at 10:17 AM

Your mini books are the best and very inspiring!
I would not be surprised if the Romantic style (a lot on a page) will give room to a more simple and straight forward scrapbook style.
But maybe this is just wishful thinking πŸ˜‰
Thanks for the give-aways and wish you and your great holly-days.
    Kind regards, Corina

About the trends- I hope the will go that way (useful pretty things)

  65. Reply rush December 7, 2012 at 10:44 AM

my prediction for next year is more vintage 50's and bold colors, but not your regular red, blue and green. thank goodness the moustaches didn't stick around long! and too bad that there was never a hexagon punch!

  71. Reply Pam December 7, 2012 at 12:14 PM
