All great posts! I can't wait to see what you are going to share in the new year! I predict that there will be a lot more glitter in 2013.
Amazing projects around the year, I'm sure you are going to surprise us with all the 2013 projetcs. My prediction of the hotest trend for 2013 maybe heagons… because I saw the sneak peeks of the Hero arts catalog for CHA winter and there are some amazing hexagons stamps.
Wow! What super duper great projects! I can't wait to make more of them. I predict that paper-piecing will come back strong in 2013, but using our electronic cutters instead of scissors.
I love all the tutorials posted above!!I agree with Miriam, I think glitter is gonna be "IT" in 2013!!
Awesome projects this year can't wait for next years projects. I predict for next year we are going to have lots of bright colours. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy new year. Looking forward to what the new year brings
I think next year we are going to see more fun borders and fun color combinations!
I wish I could predict the next trend! I always look forward to seeing what the next great thing is! Loving your inspiration posts!
I don't know what's there in 2013, but I'll be waiting for winter CHA!
HI my dear ! i am not that good at scrapbooking terms but , I predict you and your people will have a lot of fun and friendship on 2013!
Thanks a lot ! Andrea

I think the hottest scrapbooking trend can be badges and gems, I'm not sure ^_^
I think one of the trends will be more use of the Washi Tape that is out there. There are so many ways to use it and Pinterest will mostly keep our interest in it for scrapbooking. Another trend that I think I am seeing is the use of a pale turquoise in most of the lines. In the last month I have also seen 2 new paper companies that I haven't seen around before. So therefore I hope the prediction that scrapbooking will be taking an uphill swing will come true.
Some of my favorite posts were your favorite too! Lots of great ideas! I think washi tape is going to continue to be hot in 2013!
Love the projects and have done a few myself thats to the great tutorials! Prediction for 2013 is anyone's guess, but I hope to see more background stamping on layouts, brighter color combinations, and Washi Tape, cause I LOVE my Washi!!
Ooh…hard to predict. I think stitching will continue to be strong, lots of clean designs and small patterns? Maybe that's just what I want. Hmmm.

Wow – hard to guess – but I think wood veneer is going to continue to be hot and project life is going to be even more popular. And vellum will continue its comeback.
I like all your projects! About the prediction for 2013 I think that washi tape will keep being strong as well as the Project Life stuff! Thanks for the chance to win and Happy Holidays!!
One thing I've started seeing on more blogs lately is embroidering with yarn on paper – I can see that making it's way into scrapbooking more. Or maybe I just follow too many knitting/yarn blogs…
I want to learn all these projects, will put time aside to look at each & every one. Predictions are hard but more 'hand made' look like stitching, loads of shapes (hexagonal etc) with masks & embossing folders, backgrounds with more use of different mediums & much more.. π
Let's see…I'm going to say the neon trend will continue to grow, even though I'm not that big a fan of it.
I think that Neon will hit scrapping like it hit fashion and color blocking-kepping it all simple, with clean lines.
so inspiring, thank you for all of your wonderful ideas! I think beads and glitter might start to take off more!!
I think the Project Life concept is going to continue to grow with a lot more companies doing their own versions of it. π
I agree with some of the other comments – I've been seeing glitter trending lately. I also think the distressed, shabby look is becoming very popular. (Here's hoping the 2012 neon trend ends soon – ugh)
I don't know what the hottest scrapbooking trend will be because I am so far behind the times! Hopefully it's simplicity!
Love all the projects. Couldn't even begin to imagine what will be coming next – but I know it will be good!!
I also think Project Life is going to continue to grow, and will be the hottest trend.
I am going to guess that it will be hexagons!
Thanks so much for the chance to win!
Thanks for sharing the links to these amazing projects! I look forward to spending some time checking them all out!!
I wish I could make a prediction on the next trend but I am so not good at that stuff. I am terribly about keeping up with trends. I just go with what I like – trendy or not.
I think mason jars will continue to be hot next year.
just when I think I am done – I find fabulous inspiration for more Christmas goodies here. Thanks for all the eye candy xx Michelle
I'm horrible at predictions… I'm going with hexagons, and brighter colors??
I haven't got a clue! I'm more of a follower than a trendsetter…so I guess I'll just go with the first few comments and say glitter~
I think the hottest trend will be the products you hinted at. Washi is always good π
I have no idea about the next trend, but I think it will have something to do w/different shapes…The hexagons went over big, so I'm thinking in that general direction…
I have love following you on Facebook. All of your projects have been fun. I think in the next year we will see many new diecuts and perhaps new types of diecut machine.
My prediction….washi tape! Love it!
Love those projects!! I think more shapes are going to be hot next year.
Hmmm, I think basic shapes are going to keep playing a big role and washi will get hotter before it's a not-er. Oh I like the glitter comment, more glitter would be awesome!
I think feathers might be a new trend. Thanks
I'm thinking (or hoping at least!) that Diamond Wrap will be the hottest new trend next year!
You've inspired me to give the paper beads another try after having made them with my daughter years and years ago! Love to recycle paper in all forms! As for hottest trends, I am seeing a real move toward simplicity in both card making and scrapbooking. I think that the Project life format will continue to be big and that embellishments will be bold and simple..with pops of color
I love any project using paper!! Thanks for the tutorials. They really help and inspire me. I predict that bright colors and lots of flowers will be part of the trends for 2013.
Love the recap, so much inspiration !! I am thinking more of the PL format with the EP launch of Photo Freedom, going to see more simple designs to get the memories captured for everyone… more badges… maybe some gel type products like the new geleez craze for kids???
I'm thinking that homemade twine (twisting different colors of embroidery floss together will be hot. Maybe?
Oh, those wedding place cards are SO fabulous!! Love the sweet little paper flowers! As for the newest trend, I'm not sure but I am thinking that handmade flowers (maybe made of fabric?) might be big for Spring.
it has been a fun Christmas countdown and a fun 2012!! Thanks Lowri.
the map folded flowers are genius. i have tons of maps after a recent trip. now i know what to do with them π
i predict the scrapbooking trend for 2013 would be simple and clean designs. π let's see if my prediction comes true.
I've enjoyed your Christmas countdown. I just found your site a few months ago and it is neat to see all of your projects.
Such wonderful inspiration!!! I think next year's trends will be more systems which combine photo albums and scrapping. I always enjoy seeing all the new trends even if I am way far behind in using them!
I love these projects! As for upcoming trends – I'm not sure, but can't wait to see!
I think we're going to be seeing a lot more of the clean and simple style and papers in the new year.
I think chevrons and washi tape will continue to be big…I think we may go back to multipage multiphoto layouts…at least I hope so!
Predictions.. hm.. I think we will see more masks and misting, more resist product a la Heidi Swapp and Pink Paislee… bolder colors and new flower styles, and even more washi styles and wash type products.
I think more handmade projects would be trend in 2013 and always. Thanks for the chance to win.
The increased use of divided page sleeves (like Project Life pages) will continue
Scrapbooks are becoming more finished. Pages are already divided. A lot of embellishing seems to be done already. That would be a benefit for me. I'm not much of a scrapbooker. I'd rather make greeting cards.
great give away!
Great giveaway and I think there will be more hexagons, hot air baloons in 2013!!
I'm sure there will be lots of new trends in 2013 that will surprise us! But I will say washi tape will be the the hottest trend! Can't wait to see all the new styles and colors to come.
Great giveaway! It isn't easy to predict but I hope for pastel colors and Washi tape. Thank you!
Wow! This would be an awesome birthday gift, as today is my birthday! I think the trends might include chalk and eyelets, with wider Washi tape.
Your mini books are the best and very inspiring!
I would not be surprised if the Romantic style (a lot on a page) will give room to a more simple and straight forward scrapbook style.
But maybe this is just wishful thinking π
Thanks for the give-aways and wish you and your great holly-days.
Kind regards, Corina
Love your projects. Especially because most of them are useful. I've allready did one of them and gave it for my mother birthday- and she was so happy.
About the trends- I hope the will go that way (useful pretty things)
my prediction for next year is more vintage 50's and bold colors, but not your regular red, blue and green. thank goodness the moustaches didn't stick around long! and too bad that there was never a hexagon punch!
I predict more "Flair" & more mini anything~lol! Luv all those projects:) Thanx 4 the giveaways! ~prhmangel(at)gmail(dot)com
Oh my! I'm not good at predicting stuff… Perhaps circles will make a comeback or more and more doilies (i wish!) π Thanks for the chance to win!
Love the paper set! As for the new trend washi tape is gaining popularity. For card making label cut outs will be big in different shapes and designs. Also little paper banners with messages and small paper pinwheels.
Love all the projects posted on this page π if only I could predict the next trend… I would take pics accordingly haha
Really wonderful projects all of these, some of my favourites there too. π
My prediction…. maybe after all these hexagons, triangles etc. more natural shapes will come fashionable? I'm voting for the circle shapes! π
Hmmmm I think hexagons will hang around as will the banners and flags, maybe more mists and I think the mixed media trend will find its way onto scrapbook LO's more often.
I think burlap and twine might crossover from decorating into scrapbooking. Love your projects!
It's been such fun so far … what an amazing year of creativity! I think canvas and lace will be the next hot trend for 2013.
I'm not a good trend guesser but I'm gonna say fun vibrant colors?
Wow! That's a tough one. I'm thinking the punch in the middle of the page or all over the page will become big or bigger. As you can see, this is not my forte'.
wow love all of the tutorials! I need to try to make those beads for a Christmas gift thanks for the how to!
Oh and my prediction is that it will be more re purposing things to use with papercrafting.
I have no idea what the next trend will be but if I had to guess I would have to say more retro 80s patterns and trends π
So many of those projects I did and really enjoyed making them! Trend for 2013? Hmmmm I'm thinking fiber is going to be big with paper – crocheting or knitting somehow incorporated with cards, LO etc.
I'm guessing that we'll see a return to pale pastels, and I think the hot "animal" will be rabbits.
I NEED this! π I am such a paper crafter. This would be put to great use.
I think there'll be more mixed media journaling. Thanks for the great gift ideas!
Foxes and stripes! This has been a fun few days, enjoyed all the posts!
all the projects were wonderful and inspiring. great wrapup post. thanks for the chance to win.
At this moment in time Im thinking it might be making your own embellishments in general.
Trend for 2013…flair galore!
I predict it will be back to retro style.
I have no idea what the trend will be for next year but I love to see more companies coming out with the items that fit in the 4 x 6 and 3 x 4 pockets pages.
I love your projects, and can't wait to try those flowers. I think there will be a lot more of the easy scrapping in the photo pockets. I don't know what it's called, but Echo Park is putting it out.
pretty collection!
I made a 52 reasons I love you mini, for my mother's birthday, she was so happy ! I love it, easy and fast to do even with a lot of cards π
So many great tutorials, I shall definitely have to come back to pick up a trick or two,…or five… LOL!
