Valentine’s Date Night Jar (Tutorial)

Hi Everyone
I will be showcasing some Valentine’s ideas over the next couple of weeks. This is a fun idea that will work with any papers. It’s a great way to use up scraps too!
Each little paper container inside the jar contains a date idea. Each month we will pick one out and we have four weeks to make sure we set aside an evening to do whatever is on the card.

If you have read my blog before – you will know that these “Sour Cream” containers are one of my favorite projects to make.

You can see a detailed tutorial on how to make the containers here and the measurements I used for these particular mini containers were 2″x4″ or 5x10cm.

  1. Print and cut out 12 ideas for dates for you and your partner
  2. Roll the date up and insert into the container (see here for the detailed tutorial)
  3. Seal up the other end
  4. Make 11 more!

The plastic jar I have used was one I picked up at a dollar store and I used some of the stickers from the Elements Sticker Sheet to decorate. A few small rhinestones, a paper circle in the lid cut with my Cuttlebugand Spellbindersand it’s all done!

I have lots more Valentine’s ideas to share – and please post a comment with any questions.
