Hi Everyone Another exciting first for me this month as I had 4 projects published in the Kaisercraft Workshop magazine and today I am sharing the first of them. You can also see details on the Kaisercraft website here and link to the magazine here. Robots Banner This banner would be perfect for a party or even just to decorate a room. The colors are so bright and these robots are just so cool! To get started, paint all edges of the pennants album with two coats of red paint. Cut contrasting triangles from patterned papers. Glue the larger triangle to the album page and then use dimensional tape to adhere the smaller one on top for added dimension. Hand or die-cut (I used this die)cogs from the patterned paper and then use smaller circles of paper to back them with a contrasting color. Find the robots from the collectables pack and use dimensional tape to mount them, tucking them behind the cogs. Use large alphas to spell out the name you would like. Use additional items from the collectables pack as well as more die-cut cogs to decorate the first pennant if desired. Thread a ribbon through the holes […]
Hi Everyone Today I am sharing a Wedding Celebration frame as well as announcing the winners (YES – TWO!) of my recent contest. Wedding Frame My sister had two weddings 5 months apart – both super casual and lots of fun! The 5 and 22 represent the dates of the two weddings. These letters represent their names. All the elements are from Pink Paislee – and even though the Nantucket Collection was beach themed, it has worked really well with the non-traditional wedding pieces I have shown in the last few days. Here is a summary in case you missed them – each has a step-by-step tutorial too! Wedding Placecards Wedding Flowers Homemade Confetti Wedding Favors Contest Winners YEP – you read right!! I have decided to have TWO winners for my recent contest due to the absolutely overwhelming response I received! These lucky winners will receive a custom made “52 Reasons I Love You” Cards set as seen here. The first winner was picked completely at random and was comment number 62. This was Amy Flanagan. (I had 197 comments and this comment was the 62nd of those received) The second winner I picked myself. This person frequently comments […]
Hi Everyone Another Pink Paislee project to share today – this time using the Hometown Summer Collection. At the end of this post I have also announced the winner of my Echo Park giveaway. This bright and fun collection was perfect for decorating these Mini Drawers from Kaisercraft. I have used the printed tissue from the Pink Paislee Daily Junque Collection to cover the sides and edges of the project before covering the top and sides with patterned paper from the collection. This was easily done by cutting the tissue to size and using mod-podge to stick it to the mdf project. The baubles make wonderful handles for the drawers and small elements cut from the borders stickers make these great little flags on which to mount them. These gorgeous little girls from the chipboard pops add such a fun feel to the sides of the drawers and even the back of the project gets a fun and funky feel with this alphabet printed paper from the 6×6 paper pack. Hopefully my sister doesn’t see this post before Christmas as I am going to give her these for her little daughter! Please post a comment with any questions. Lowri 🙂 […]
Hi Everyone I have another project using the Merry Medley Collection from Kaisercraft. This collection is so bright and fun – perfect for Christmas projects and decor here down under when the sun is shining and many people have never seen snow! I have used an 8×8 frame from Dusty Attic as a base and have used white ink to break up the stark wooden surface a little. I have then simply added some patterned paper to the background of each mini-frame and decorated the frames with the stickers from the Goodies sticker sheet. I have used rhinestones to accent and highlight various elements in the paper. These projects are super-quick to come together as the frame needs no preparation at all. Here is another frame I did with Bo Bunny Papers – this time I painted the frame but you can certainly leave it raw if you like. I made this frame as a prize for a lady who won a blog contest of mine and whose son was entering the marines. See the complete post here. Please post a comment if you have any questions. Lowri 🙂 I am linking up this project to these websites here.
Hi Everyone Today I am sharing the first of my projects using the wonderful Merry Medley Collection from Kaisercraft. This has definitely been one of my favorite Christmas releases this season and its wonderfully fresh colors mean it is also suitable for non-Christmas themed projects too. This Bauble Tag album is perfect for showing off some Christmas photos, recipes, memories or a mixture of all three! This project is now in the Artfull Crafts shop and we will be making up some kits too – so drop in and take a look to see how simply it can be made. Projects like this can easily be completed in one evening in front of the TV – think husband watching the rugby/football/cricket/Rambo movie, you gluing and cutting!! Please post a comment with any questions. Lowri I am linking up this project to these websites here.
Hi Everyone I wanted to share this project we completed at the recent Kaisercraft retailers day using one of their November release Collections – Madame Boutique. This collection is not my normal go-to style of papers, but it just goes to show that sometimes, using products outside of your normal comfort zone can yield some pretty good results! The project using the the Kaisercraft Bracket Frame was just perfect for this lovely photo of my middle son and his great-grandmother. They shared a birthday and she just adored him with his bright ginger hair and his chubby cheeks! She died a couple of years ago and I recently gave the frame to my mother-in-law as a gift – let’s just say there were a couple of tears shed. I made the rolled lace flower using Kaisercraft lace and the technique shown below and added a pearl brad in the centre. There is a huge variety of cut-outs in these new Collectables packs from Kaisercraft. The value is unbelievable and each pack includes over 50 die-cuts including tagsand a good variety of both large and small pieces – perfect for card-makers and scrapbookers alike. This gorgeous bird is from the new flourish […]
