Cameo
Hi Everyone Yesterday I had a post on the Teresa Collins blog as part of a blog swap with Artfull Crafts. My DT colleague and amazing papercrafter Sandy Ang also had some fabulous cards featured. Journal Album The colors in this Everyday Moments collection are fabulous and the papers are very versatile. I have created this blank journal album using a combination of plain white cardstock and papers from the collection. The bright colors really stand out against the plain card and each page has some journaling prompts for the recipient to start writing. I have bound the book cover with an eyelet and bakers twine which wraps around a brad to keep the book closed. Card and Matching Envelope The base of this card was cut using my Cameo and this file, and I have kept the additional decoration quite simple. To create the bird I brushed some white ink over the wooden piece and then stamped over the top with a clock-face stamp. The stamp and acetate clock face were both from Kaisercraft’s last Halloween Collection! The matching envelope was also die-cut using this file here, and I used two of the Everyday Moments Brads and some bakers […]
Hi Everyone I have this post up on the Echo Park Blog today. These paper fruits are perfect for hiding sweeties inside, or you could make a bowlful for some colorful Spring decoration. They are simple to make and I have made them using both a paper template and an electronic die-cutting machine – the only difference is that with the machine they are quicker to cut out! There are a few patterns available online – try this one here which you can print onto plain cardstock for a template or if you have an electronic die-cutter – you can purchase the cutting file here. With either method it is easy to shrink or enlarge to create the size strawberries you want. I tucked some treats inside before using strong paper threaded through all the holes in the petals to close. Don’t worry about how it looks as you are going to be covering the top with the leaves of the strawberry. These fabulous papers from the This and That Graceful Collection were perfect for this project and I used the Kiwi green paper (kind of appropriate for me living in New Zealand!) from the Dots and Stripes Soda Fountain […]
Please note that the Blog Hop and competitions previously detailed on this post have now closed. You can see who won the Echo Park giveaways on their blog here. You can see who won my giveaway here. I encourage you to visit all the fabulous blogs that were on the hop – there is a list at the end of this post! These note holders are perfect for leaving a “Note to Self”! I created them using one of the FABULOUS files from Patricia at A Little Hut. I just bought a Silhouette Cameo and this was my first project. Patricia even has videos available to show you how to put your project together – perfect for a Cameo novice like me. I made one for my husband and then I liked it so much I made one for myself too. These stickers from the Alpha Stickers sheet I used for the note dividers are my most favorite Echo Park stickers ever. I used the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to attach them to some blank index cards. I had been hoarding these days of the week stickers from the This and That Sticker Sheet. The ones you can see are […]
