Everyday Eclectic Gift Set & PaperHaus Magazine!

Hi Everyone Please note that the blog-hop and giveaway previously detailed here has now closed. The winner can be seen here. I ABSOLUTELY recommend you take a look at the first Paperhaus Magazine. It’s online, free and FABULOUS! Everyday Eclectic Gift Set This fun little set was made with my Cameo and the fabulous Everyday Eclectic Collection from Echo Park Paper. The hexagon gift bag uses this file from A Little Hut and the card file can be found here. I have used a piece of acetate behind the birds to add a little bit of dimension. I created these tiny tags from some of the stickers from the collection. These little stickers can be tough to use but you can attach them to some paper and group them for great gift tags! Please leave a comment or email me with any questions Lowri 🙂 I am linking this project up to these websites here.

Bold & Simple Card and Gift Tag Set (Cosmo Cricket)

Hi Everyone A little gift set to share today using one of my all time favorite manufacturers – Cosmo Cricket! Please note that the competition previously detailed here has now closed – you can see who won here. The colors in this gorgeous collection make it so versatile – and this little set was sent to accompany a handmade gift I created so the recipient can add their own message when they give the gift. This card is a “swing” card. I used this file and my Cameo to create it – but there are heaps of great online templates too – try this fabulous one here from Beate Johns. This (above) is what you see when you open the card – plenty of room for you to hand write your message along with this fabulous sticker from the Tiny Text, Together stickers. This tag is so simple and I love the look of the bold, black sentiment. To create this shape – cut a rectangle of paper and use a circle punch to snip off the corners and create a tag shape on the two top corners. Punch a small hole in the top and add some bakers twine […]

Beautiful Moments – Carta Bella Projects

Hi Everyone Please note that the contest previously detailed on this post has now closed. You can see who won the contest here.   Keep up with all the news on the Carta Bella website here, Facebook Page here or blog here! Special Wedding Anniversary Card I made this card for an elderly gentleman I have known for a couple of years. He and his wife just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary and they have a wonderful story. I created the “swing” style card using a file from Lori Whitlock and I just love how these papers are so complimentary. This card looks great from the front and when pulled apart reveals a much larger sentiment. The stickers are textured just like the paper and match perfectly The wooden accent was cut from a wooden flourish from Kaisercraft. I painted it white and then embossed with a woodgrain stamp and white embossing powder. Easy Notebook To create this notebook I cut some copier paper into 10″ x 8″ strips and folded them in half to create pages 5″ x 4″     I then wrapped the patterned paper round the folded sheets, punched holes in the center and using a […]

Travel Album & Card (Ruby Rock-It Day One)

Hi Everyone I am Guest Designing today for the Ruby Rock-It blog and I am using the fabulous Vintedge Collection. I am from the UK so I was really keen to work with these fabulous prints! Here are the first of my projects I shared and I have more to come over the weekend. Travel Album This blank chipboard album from Maya Road was the perfect base for this fun, blank travel album. The pages are all ready embellished ready for the recipient to just add their own photos. I covered all the pages with the paper, and added embellishments making it a really simple project for a non-crafter to complete. Where an embellishment overlaps the photo area – I was careful to only put adhesive outside that area to make sure photos can easily be slid underneath. Love Card This double sided heart paper was a real treat to find in this collection. I have created a simple tri-fold card (you can see a template on my blog here) and embellished it using elements from the collection. For the 3-d heart I die cut a heard from several layers of adhesive chipboard and wrapped some of the paper twine […]

Nursery Pop-Up Card (Echo Park)

Please note that the Blog Hop and competitions previously detailed on this post have now closed. You can see who won the Echo Park giveaways on their blog here. You can see who won my giveaway here. I encourage you to visit all the fabulous blogs that were on the hop – there is a list at the end of this post! Toy Box Project I have used the Toy Box Mini Theme to make this pop-up card. I used this file from the Silhouette store for the card base, and modified it to add the “B” letter – which I then backed with the “Jump” paper (reverse) paper for extra definition. You could of course easily create your own base with a sharp knife and some good measuring skills! Here you can see the simple strip cut to create the “pop-up” part. I attached all the stickers together with mini glue-dots so I could mount them easily as one piece onto the pop-up strip. Remember to de-sticky them with talc too so they do not all stick to your card when it is closed.  The card closes completely flat for easy mailing. Here is a list of blogs that […]
