Hi Everyone – I am very excited today as I was featured for the first time on the Crate Paper Blog. Read to the end to find out more… CARDS The “Baby” item I am sharing today – is some cards! Hmmm – cards – that’s pretty simple you might be thinking BUT Cosmo Cricket have started to release some of their older collections digitally, meaning that for the price of 3 pieces of paper – you can have ALL the papers in electronic format – forever! Here I have created the card digitally and just printed it onto photo paper before mounting onto a simple card base. Once you have created the design ( I am a bit of a computer hack and just used powerpoint!) you can print off, trim and adhere these at an astonishing rate! As well as the papers, Cosmo Cricket also release all the other graphic elements on a transparent background – such the the Elements pages, Alphas, Chipboard etc etc. Some of the collections are over 200 files for about $15 They are available from jessicasprague.com, so go take a look. Of course – you can use your “real” embellishments to set the […]
Crate Paper
Hi Everyone – another project to share today. This time I have taken the Kaisercraft 2011 Diary (available here from Artfull Crafts) and used Crate Paper’s Brook Collection for the decoration. I have created a “bookmark” using some of the patterned paper with some double sided adhesive chipboard in the middle for added strength. Like most of the Kaisercraft BTP Projects I complete – I have sanded the edges and painted before covering in a base layer of paper. I then cut around with a very sharp knife and lightly sand the paper along the edges for a neat finish. A few of the beautiful Paper Clips from Basic Grey’s Origins Collection match perfectly as page markers Don’t forget to check out the new Paper Issues challenge – where you can link up your projects. The theme for the next three weeks is “New” – and anything goes. Take a look at http://paperissues.blogspot.com/2010/12/new-challenge.html
Hi Everyone – last week on the Artfull Crafts blog the theme was Stocking Stuffers and Scraps. You can see my complete post here and be sure to take a look at what the other ladies have come up with too! Crate Paper “Snow Day” CD OK – so who doesn’t love Christmas Music!? Also – who doesn’t love this fabulous Snow Day Collection from Crate Paper. It has the most gorgeous colours and like all the Crate Paper products – they are of the highest quality. I have used the papers and additional elements to create this CD for my sister in the UK. I have decorated a plain tin for the CD using papers, border and phrase stickers and die-cut elements from the Snow Day Collection. I have printed a playlist for the inside cover and I made a folded paper holder for the CD The fabric brads are the perfect attachment for lifting the CD out, not to mention they are just gorgeous! I also just a got a new printer which prints directly onto CD’s so I was desperate to give that a whirl too. I was a bit naughty and just copied and pasted an image of the Crate […]
Hi there – This week on the Artfull Crafts Blog the theme is Stocking Stuffers and Scraps. I have heaps of bits and pieces to post – but will restrict to one day at a time! I made this photo wallet for my MIL this week as she spent some unexpected time in hospital. It’s so simple and is slim-line enough to fit easily into a bag, purse or wallet. It measures 10cm x 7cm and has a magnetic snap closure (from Basic Grey). It almost looks like a little purse! I have used one of my favourite ranges from the last year (well, from all time really) Restoration from Crate Paper. The colours in this range are gorgeous. I have seen lots of heavily distressed projects using this range, but that’s not really my style, so I wanted to show it can be used for a “clean lines” project too. Needed to add the paper strip to hide the second magnet I needed for strength! These colours are just so stunning. Sepia photos were a great match! The album opens up to reveal fold out flaps containing more photos. It’s amazing how slim the wallet stays […]
I created this box of cocktail recipes as part of my submission to join the Artfull Crafts Design Team earlier this year. I have used the Boys Zone Tags and tag box from Kaisercraft and the papers and embellishments are from the Crate Paper Brook Collection – one of my all-time favourites. I also used heaps of Rhinestones and some miscellaneous rubons too. I was really happy with how this turned out! I wanted to keep the box very simple to highlight the wonderful colours of the papers The tags come flatpacked and joined together, so some cutting and sanding is required before you start to paint I printed some of the recipes onto printed paper, some onto acetate and some onto plain paper which I stamped, embossed, applied rubons etc This was such a fun project – not to mention it is full of wonderful Cocktail recipes!
