“Note to Self” Note-Holders (Echo Park)

Please note that the Blog Hop and competitions previously detailed on this post have now closed. You can see who won the Echo Park giveaways on their blog here. You can see who won my giveaway here. I encourage you to visit all the fabulous blogs that were on the hop – there is a list at the end of this post! These note holders are perfect for leaving a “Note to Self”! I created them using one of the FABULOUS files from Patricia at A Little Hut. I just bought a Silhouette Cameo and this was my first project. Patricia even has videos available to show you how to put your project together – perfect for a Cameo novice like me. I made one for my husband and then I liked it so much I made one for myself too. These stickers from the Alpha Stickers sheet I used for the note dividers are my most favorite Echo Park stickers ever. I used the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to attach them to some blank index cards. I had been hoarding these days of the week stickers from the This and That Sticker Sheet. The ones you can see are […]

Valentine’s Dates with Echo Park

Hi Everyone I have a few Valentine’s Day ideas coming up in the next week and this one is heaps of fun to make. Each little paper container inside the jar contains a date idea. Each month we will pick one out and we have four weeks to make sure we set aside an evening to do whatever is on the card. If you have read my blog before – you will know that these “Sour Cream” containers are one of my favorite projects to make.   You can see a detailed tutorial on how to make the containers here and the measurements I used for these particular mini containers were 2″x4″ or 5x10cm. I used the Yours Truly Collection from Echo Park. You can use either the 6×6 Paper Pad or the 12 x 12 papers   Print and cut out 12 ideas for dates for you and your partner Roll the date up and insert into the container (see here for the detailed tutorial) Seal up the other end  Make 11 more! The plastic jar I have used was one I picked up at a dollar store and I used some of the stickers from the Elements Sticker […]

Casual Summer Wedding Stationery w/ Pink Paislee

Hi Everyone Hope you have had a wonderful few days over Christmas. We had a very casual family wedding last week and I put together a few fun items for decoration. Placecards To create each card I cut two pieces of paper using Spellbinders, creased them in the middle and glued one on top of another. I printed names onto clear labels and added one of my rolled paper flowers (see below). Candy Favors I have made these many times before (I have a tutorial here if you would like to see how!) but they are so elegant and perfect for hiding a couple of after-dinner mints. Confetti Bags I collected all the paper scraps from the other items and punched butterflies using a small punch. I then punched the same shape from layers of baking paper to create confetti. (Note – 8 layers of baking paper at a time was perfect!) Flowers I also created some paper flowers for decoration. Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of them after they were arranged as I was doing all the cooking for the reception and it was a little busy! Here are a couple of pictures of what was an absolutely […]

Cosmo Cricket Playing Cards

Hi Everyone Day 2 of my Cosmo Cricket week. How about bringing out your inner hustler with these playing cards using the digital “Wanted” Collection.   I created a template using various elements from the collection and then just printed onto A4 photo paper, cut out – and attached to my $2 shop playing cards. Easy!  You could easily make a few of these for an evening. Why not do some custom cards for everyone the next time you host a poker/games night? I also used the digital Snorkel Collection for the background for this set of playing cards I created for Valentines day this year. The weathered wood graphics were perfect for the look I wanted to create. You can see the complete post and more pictures here.. Lowri 🙂

School Projects with Kaisercraft’s “Class of ’87”

Hi Everyone We have had a crazy week here in Marlborough – we are in the throes of grape harvest and my eldest son started his school visits… You may remember I posted this little organizer I made for his new desk at home using the Kaisercraft Class of ’87 range – well I have a few more projects to share using the same collection.. Alphabet Flash Cards For these I have simply cut out the individual letters from the “Show and Tell”  paper and laminated each one in an individual pocket, punched a hole and used a book-ring to bind together The awesome thing about this book is that you can use it for letter teaching AND letter writing as the reverse of each letter has plain lines where you can practice writing with a whiteboard pen!! Crayon Box This was just a fun box I put together to hold some crayons I made (you can see tutorial on my blog showing just how easy they are to make here) Here are a couple of close-ups Pen Holder For this project I simply painted the edge of a blank box and covered the side in some of the paper […]

Cosmo Cricket Snorkel Cardset

Hi Everyone This is possibly my favorite project I have created all year!! This card-set was created using the AWESOME Snorkel Collection from Cosmo Cricket. Sadly – it is no longer available for purchase – though I have found some bits and pieces at my local store that I am hoarding like a squirrel in a nut-shortage! Dawn won a blog giveaway of mine and I had HEAPS of fun creating a card-set for her! She is a cooool chick from Texas, and a quick google check tells me it is pretty sunny year round there, so no snowmen cards happening here! Here is the folder I created to hold the cards and goodies. So much fabulous material to work with with these awesome border elements too! I have used this collection heaps for creating kids albums and cards, but never adults but when I dug out the stickers and these fabulous elements – I knew there was potential for a fun-packed adult project too! I hope Dawn likes them! Post a comment with any questions 🙂 Lowri
