Hi Everyone – Today I am sharing my “December Daily” album, created using a combination of the Echo Park Season’s Greetings paper and digital collections. First of all I should tell you I had to google to find out what a December Daily was – and then when I saw some of the amazing examples online – I was totally intimidated at the thought of creating one! What I decided to do was take a little album I had started working on (seen here) and expand it into a Daily Journal. December this year is going to be exceptionally busy so I have decided to just have a little space where I can write each day and easily just slot a photograph in when I take one of something special. To expand my existing book, I created some numbers from the Season’s Greetings Alphas and Borders and added them to each page. To create additional pages I printed some journaling tags from the Season’s Greetings Element Pack. I decided to create a few fold out pages within the book to allow for a series of photos to be added. This page with the Santa is for Christmas Eve where I […]
Hi Everyone Another Halloween project to share today using the Echo Park Apothecary Collection. This time I have used the Digital Collection available here from jessicasprague.com. Sour Cream Containers I LOVE these! They might actually be my most favorite project I have created this year so far! Using the Apothecary Digital Collection I created a template for these – BUT I have made heaps of these with just regular patterned paper. I have a tutorial showing exactly how to put them together below and you won’t believe how simple they are! You can make 12 from a single piece of 12×12 paper making these a really economical project for any season. More projects to come in the next couple of days – more edible treats too! Post a comment with any questions Lowri 🙂 I am linking up this project to these websites here.
Hi Everyone A few Echo Park projects to share this week following my first post this week as their Fresh Face Designer. Echo Park releases both paper and digital collections and I have used a combination of the two in a couple of the projects I have created using their Apothecary Collection. Here is the first… Halloween Countdown Card This square tri-fold card is ideal for showing off these fabulous papers. In order to create this card you first need to cut your base cardstock to size and make the scores/folds as shown below. NOTE: Whenever I attempt a project like this for the first time – I always make it with scrap card, paper or an old cereal box so I can understand, play with the dimensions and mark it without cutting into my lovely papers. You then simple decorate the panels how you like. For the front cover I have covered this little chipboard owl from Scrapware with patterned papers from the collection and also added a small painted branch (which is a Kaisercraft flourish) and simple organza ribbon tie. The middle panel for the card was created using some digital files from the Apothecary Collection and embellished […]
Hi Everyone – I am excited to share my projects today as they are a good example of how to combine digital and physical paper collections. Custom Table Linen Following on from Wednesdays custom t-shirts, I thought it would be fun to make some unique linen pieces for a special get-together. I simply picked up 4 plain napkins for $2 at the Warehouse, printed my design onto t-shirt transfer paper, busted out my iron again and voila – personal table linen! Invitation, Menu and Placecards These items were made using the Early Bird digital collection for the wording – which I then attached to an actual piece of patterned paper and decorated using chipboard pieces for dimension. I could have done it all digitally but I like combining the two for impact. Wine Glass Markers OK – so maybe you don’t need these for a dinner for 2 BUT these chipboard buttons make great wine glass markers. For your next party – how about gathering up all those chipboard pieces kicking around the bottom of your drawer and make some unique glass markers – saves on washing up too! Here are some more detailed pictures.. Hope you have enjoyed these […]
Hi Everyone I am really excited about this post today – I am still working on perfecting a technique for these but I can’t wait to share! I like to think of these as “Cosmo Cuties”…. Snorkel Collection Jack’s World Collection Boyfriend Collection Mr Campy Collection Earth Love Collection You can mix and match various elements from the collections Once again I have used the Cosmo Cricket Digital Collections available at jessicasprague.com for all of these and just printed them onto T-shirt transfers. I like to think of these as a work in progress – and I have a new appreciation for anyone who tries to photograph clothes – it’s really hard!! If you are are Cosmo Cricket fan (or a baby fan!!) you might like to check out these posts and tutorials for earlier in the year. I made a variety of unique items for my sister using the Paper and Digital “Earth Love” Collection from Cosmo Cricket More pictures and a tutorial on how to make these bookmarks here More pictures and information on making these digitally designed cards here More pictures and a tutorial on how to make this single sheet of paper album here You […]
Hi Everyone Day 2 of my Cosmo Cricket week. How about bringing out your inner hustler with these playing cards using the digital “Wanted” Collection. I created a template using various elements from the collection and then just printed onto A4 photo paper, cut out – and attached to my $2 shop playing cards. Easy! You could easily make a few of these for an evening. Why not do some custom cards for everyone the next time you host a poker/games night? I also used the digital Snorkel Collection for the background for this set of playing cards I created for Valentines day this year. The weathered wood graphics were perfect for the look I wanted to create. You can see the complete post and more pictures here.. Lowri 🙂
